Liberty Landing Grand Opening this Friday in New Richmond

NEW RICHMOND, Ohio (Oct. 14, 2026) – The Village of New Richmond will celebrate the grand opening of its Liberty Landing riverfront redevelopment project at 1:00 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 16.

The dedication ceremony will include remarks by Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik, Clermont County Commissioner David Painter, Ohio Rep. Adam Bird and New Richmond Mayor Glen Ewing.

The $13.4 million project in the southern-most area of Clermont County includes an elevated streetscape and marina.

The streetscape extends the original width of Front Street by about 25 feet. It features sweeping overlooks of the Ohio River and a brick plaza highlighted by an arched overhead metal sign proclaiming the site as “New Richmond Liberty Landing Est. 1814” in the center of the village's retail district.

Other features include:

  • Decorative streetlights with coordinated black metal railing
  • A landscaped median with trees and grass
  • Round gray metal tables with attached seating and colorful gold sunshade umbrellas
  • Black metal park benches

The project was funded by the State of Ohio's Appalachian Community Grant Program. The general contractor was Cincinnati-based Prus Construction. KZF Design, also based in Cincinnati, was the architectural consultant.
