Emerald Ash Borer Update
Add Clermont County to the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s (ODA) list of quarantined areas, due to the discovery of the pesky Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). Clermont joins neighboring Hamilton and the majority of Ohio’s counties in being quarantined; the quarantine prohibits the movement of hardwood firewood and other ash tree material in an infected county to areas not quarantined. OSU Extension-Clermont Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator Cindy Burskey recently found the EAB specimen on Old SR 74 near SR 32 in Union Township. This video contains information about the EAB, how it damages trees, and how homeowners can protect their trees.
Revaluation process in Clermont County 2008
The Ohio Revised Code mandates that a physical inspection and reappraisal of each parcel of property in Clermont County be completed every six years. On this video, Clermont County Communications Director Kathy Lehr talks with Clermont Auditor Linda Fraley about the revaluation process, how it was completed, and what property owners can do if they disagree with the results.

Honoring Our Military, Past and Present
As part of an effort to reach as many of Clermont Countys' 15,000 veterans and their families as possible, the Clermont County Veterans Service Office held a special Veterans Service to honor members of the military, both past and present. The service was held on Sunday, May 18, at Kings Way Fellowship Church, located at 4359 E. Bauman Lane in Batavia.
Fair Housing - It's the Law
How big of a problem is housing discrimination? "Its a huge problem," says Marcheta Gillam, an attorney with Cincinnati Legal Aid. "I believe up to 90 percent of housing discrimination cases are never reported. Victims feel isolated and are bullied into being silent." With that in mind, Clermont County Fair Housing and the Clermont County Office of Public Information with cooperation from Cincinnati Legal Aid and Housing Opportunities Made Equal of Greater Cincinnati (HOME) - have produced a video to educate citizens and landlords about fair housing laws.
TCS Opening in Clermont County, Ohio
On March 17, TCS opened its North American Delivery Center in Clermont County, Ohio. The center will create 1,000 jobs.
Salute to Veterans and Our Troops
On Wednesday, July 25,2007, Clermont County Commissioner Bob Proud hosted a program at the Clermont County Fairgrounds in Owensville, Ohio to salute veterans and our troops.
