Immediate Release
November 6, 2009
Batavia, Ohio. The Clermont County Transportation Improvement District (CCTID), in cooperation with the City of Milford, the Clermont County Engineer’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and Miami Township, will host an open house meeting to obtain public input for the US 50/SR 131 and Milford Parkway/Chamber Drive Improvements Project. The open house will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Milford Community Fire Fighters Hall, located at 1005 Lila Avenue in Milford; the hall is located on the east end of the Milford Shopping Center.
The US 50/SR 131 and Milford Parkway/Chamber Drive Improvements Project will evaluate the transportation corridor from the intersection at US 50/SR 131 through River’s Edge to the I-275/US 50 Interchange. Recommendations will then be made for transportation improvements designed to increase travel efficiency and access for commercial and residential districts in the area, and to address roadway improvements, pedestrian facilities, and preservation of a corridor for future rail transit.
Exhibits of the study corridor will be on display at the meeting and representatives from Clermont County, Milford, Miami Township, and the project team will be available to answer questions and gather public input and comments. Citizens are welcome to attend at any time during the two-hour open house; comment sheets will be provided.
