Batavia, Ohio. Clermont County Auditor Linda L. Fraley is a recipient of the Distinguished County Auditor award, presented by the County Auditors’ Association of Ohio (CAAO). This award recognizes auditors that have completed 100 or more hours of continuing education during their term of office. By law, auditors are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education.
“I am honored to receive this award,” said Fraley. “The importance of continuing education in today’s fast paced and changing environment cannot be stressed enough.” Fraley’s continuing education has included classes pertaining to standards of mass appraisal, single audit and governmental standards, public records and records retention, ethics, and substance abuse.
Fraley was recognized and received the award from CAAO President Doug Green, during the CAAO Winter Conference in Columbus, on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. In recognizing this achievement, the CAAO notes, “When you consider the time commitments on county auditors, it is truly an accomplishment for an auditor to have over 100 hours of credit.”
A Certified Public Accountant, Linda Fraley’s background encompasses more than 30 years experience in accounting and business management. She is in her fourth consecutive term as Clermont County Auditor, first elected in November 1994.
