Immediate Release
June 16, 2010
Batavia, Ohio. The Clermont County Engineer’s Office is requesting a two week extension for the temporary detour of through traffic on Amelia Olive Branch Road in Batavia Township; the roadway was originally scheduled for completion on Friday, June 18, 2010. The extension for the Amelia Olive Branch and SR 125 Intersection Improvements Project is now expected to be completed and the roadway reopened to through traffic on Friday, July 2, 2010.
The Board of Clermont County Commissioners is expected to officially approve the extension during session on Monday, June 21, 2010. The Engineer’s Office reports that work on the project was delayed because of heavy rains, and the relocation of gas, water, and service lines in that location. Some work also had to be delayed to maintain traffic to a pharmacy in the construction zone.
Traffic will continue to be rerouted along SR 125, Bach Buxton Road, and Clough Pike. For more information, contact the Clermont County Engineer’s Office at (513) 732-8857.
