Batavia, Ohio. What do you think about the Eastgate North Frontage Road Improvement Project? Citizen input is welcome at a Wednesday, April 29, 2009 open house at the Union Township Civic Center, located at 4350 Aicholtz Road; you are welcome to stop by anytime between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to review and discuss the proposed roadway and intersection improvements with the project team. The Clermont County Transportation Improvement District (TID), in cooperation with the Clermont County Engineer’s Office, Ohio Department of Transportation, Union Township, and the Eastgate North Frontage Road Improvement Project (ENTRAN), will host the open house.
The purpose of this project is to improve traffic flow and access to and from Eastgate-area commercial and residential areas, and to provide local road network improvements in support of the Eastern Corridor Multi-Modal Transportation project. The Eastgate North Frontage Road Improvement Project begins at the Eastgate Mall and extends east across Eastgate Boulevard, ending just east of Jackson Square Drive. The project involves intersection improvements and a realignment of Eastgate North Frontage Road (also known as Eastgate North Drive) to accommodate a planned reconfiguration of the Eastgate Boulevard and State Route 32 interchange ramps.
Exhibits showing preliminary design and study corridor information for the Eastgate North Frontage Road Improvement Project will be on display at the meeting. Representatives from the Clermont County Transportation Improvement District, the Clermont County Engineer’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and Union Township will be available to answer your questions and receive your comments. Comment sheets will be provided, which can be completed and placed in a drop-off box at the meeting or mailed to the Clermont County Transportation Improvement District by May 14, 2009. Additional comment sheets, the drop-off box, and the exhibits shown at the meeting will be available at the Union Township Civic Center until May 14, 2009.For more information about this project, please contact Steve Wharton, Clermont County Transportation Improvement District at (513) 289-9051 or firstname.lastname@example.org; or contact Craig Stephenson, Clermont County Chief Deputy Engineer at (513) 732-8883 or email@example.com.
