Batavia, Ohio. Children 10 and under are invited to bring a basket to collect candy-filled eggs at the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Sycamore Park, sponsored by the Batavia Rotary Club and the Clermont County Park District. The free egg hunt will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009, 10 a.m., at Sycamore Park, located at 4082 SR 132 in Batavia.
“Every year, participating families tell us this is one of the best egg hunts they have ever attended,” said Mac Hickman, president of the Batavia Rotary Club. “Several thousand candy-filled, plastic eggs will be hidden; those that find a special egg will be thrilled with the prize they receive.”
Children will compete in various age groups. Bring your cameras, because the Easter Bunny will be hopping over to Sycamore Park that morning for a special appearance. There is no cost to participate in the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
“We estimate that last year, about 125 kids participated in the egg hunt,” said Clermont Parks Naturalist Keith Robinson. “It’s as much fun for the adults to watch as it is for the kids to search for eggs.”
