Immediate Release
February 8, 2010
Batavia, Ohio. Stop by any of the 10 Clermont County Public Library (CCPL) branches during the month of February, and make a free Valentine for a veteran. Cardstock, foam hearts, glue, and other decorating materials are available to help you craft your message; the cards will then be distributed to veterans visiting the Clermont County Veterans’ Service Office, located at 76 South Riverside Drive in Batavia. “We invite entire families and groups to come together to make the cards,” said Cindy Mahaffey with the CCPL, as she completed her valentine for a veteran.
“I believe our veterans will truly appreciate such a warm and caring act from the public,” said Director of the Veterans’ Service Office Dan Bare. “We appreciate the library thinking about our veterans in such a creative way.”
February is Library Lovers’ Month at the Clermont County Public Library; for more information about library programs, visit the Web site www.clermont.lib.oh.us.
