Batavia, Ohio. If you have a family farm business you would like to pass along to your children and grandchildren, the Ohio State University (OSU) Extension-Clermont has a two-day workshop series you might want to check out called Farm Succession: Transferring Your Farm Business to the Next Generation. The workshop will be held on Thursday, March 25 and Friday, March 26 in the 4-H Hall at the Clermont County Fairgrounds in Owensville. The workshop will run from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on both dates.
“This two day workshop is designed to help you preserve your family business,” said OSU Extension-Clermont Program Coordinator of Agriculture and Natural Resources Latham Farley.
Topics that will be covered during the workshop include strategies to keep the family farm in the family, how to best prepare for the future, and sessions on retirement and estate planning. The cost to attend the workshop is $50 per individual and $25 for each additional family member. The cost includes lunch (provided by Farm Credit Services) and materials.
