Clermont Child Support Month Awareness Activities
Coloring Contest and Educational Programs Planned
Batavia, Ohio. Children, ages 10 and younger, are invited to compete in a coloring contest, as part of "Child Support Awareness Month" activities in Clermont County. The competition, organized by the Clermont Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSE), a division of the Department of Job and Family Services, is part of outreach efforts in August to increase awareness about the programs offered by CSE and its mission to collect overdue child support payments that benefit the youngest members of our community. Complete details about the contest are available on the Web site www.ClermontSupportsKids.org.
"The coloring contest is a fun way to involve children in the month-long activities," said CSE Director Brenda Gilreath. "In addition, our agency would like to thank area businesses that have made generous donations to support Child Support Month outreach activities. Drawings will be held for Cincinnati Reds tickets, Cincinnati Zoo passes, a bicycle, and three book bags filled with school supplies. Additional information on various outreach activities is also available on the above Web site."
Throughout August CSE will give special treats to all of the children that visit the office and to everyone who makes a payment at the CSE local collections office; the agency will also sponsor an educational program benefiting pregnant and parenting teens.
Earlier, CSE announced that the sixth annual Most Wanted Campaign will begin in August - intensifying efforts to apprehend those behind in child support payments; pictures of the offenders will also be publicized on flyers, cable television bulletin boards, and posters around the county.
