The Clermont County Local Emergency Planning Commission (LEPC) will hold meetings on the following dates in 2010:
Tuesday, March 23
Thursday, June 3
Thursday, September 2
All meetings are held in the conference room of the Clermont Engineer’s Office, located at 2381 Clermont Center Drive in Batavia; the meetings will run from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.
LEPCs are a requirement of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986; they are county organizations responsible for receiving all information and industry reports pertaining to extremely hazardous substances in the county. The group also writes and reviews the county Chemical Emergency Response and Preparedness Plan to ensure citizens are properly protected.
